Pesach (Passover) is April 19 - April 27, 2019
The eight-day festival of Passover is celebrated in the early spring, from the 15th through the 22nd of the Hebrew month of Nissan. It commemorates the emancipation of the Israelites from slavery in ancient Egypt. One of the 4 Mitzvahs of Purim is to listen to the the Megillah, a.k.a. “The Book of Esther twice: once on Purim night at the conclusion of the Fast of Esther and again on Purim day.
This year, that’s Wednesday night, March 20 and Thursday, March 21, 2019.
Pay attention—it is crucial to hear every word.
